Community Reintegration Program
NICIL’s Community Reintegration Program assists people with disabilities living
in nursing homes to return to the community with proper supports.
This program is grant funded through the Division of Rehabilitation Services.
This grant money may be used to assist with security deposits, first month’s rent, furniture,
home furnishings, home modifications, assistive technology, groceries etc.
Our Community Reintegration Coordinators offer assistance with finding personal assistants,
securing housing, locating assistive devices, advocating for Medicaid, Medicare and
other supports necessary to live independently in the community.
The ideal candidates for this program would currently live in a nursing home
and demonstrate motivation and the desire to be in charge of their lives.
